offsite link Calling the Rape Gangs a ?Dog Whistle? Issue Is Utterly Disgraceful Sun May 04, 2025 19:00 | Richard Eldred
Dismissing the rape gang scandal as a "dog whistle" isn't just tone-deaf ? it's a vile insult to victims and exposes a government more afraid of losing votes than of protecting children, says Henry Hill in the Telegraph.

Diego Maradona has arrived in Cuba.

where he will continue drug therapy.

Diego arrived Monday in Cuba, home to his revered Fidel Castro, who has promised to care for the troubled footballer "as a son".

Diego last entered the news with his heartfelt messages of support to President Chavez in the recent right wing challenges to his administration in Venezuela.

He is reported in the global spanish speaking press as having spent his first days undergoing rigorous medical examinations and is in good condition.

Paraguay-
"this his last game for life"

Mexico-
"Argentine ambassador has confired that Diego is in good form". The Mexicans (under Bush ally Fox) and Cubans (under Castro who's face is tattooed on Diego's body) severed diplomatic relations earlier in 2004.

Venezuala-
"Diego hopes to break the habit"

New York City (which has a considerable hispanic community supports a weekly indymedia newspaper in spanish, as well as many commercial papers)

Chile-
"without promising anything Diego goes back to Cuba" Diego's last attempts at de-tox in surprisingly "hard drug free" Cuba sadly failed, and without doubt it proved difficult to convince Argentine president Kirchner to sanction the return of possibly the most gifted prodigy of the "beautiful game" alive.
And certainly a man who's extra-ordinary talents, deep faith in God and unwavering Socialist and Libertarian beliefs have impressed so many. And perhaps made his very human weaknesses and suffering all the more tragic and symbolic of the unrealting horror of the contemporary world where success so often only earns adiction, insecurity and alienation.

Finally the message which Diego sent to Chavez after he won the referendum.
