The power outage in Spain and Portugal wasn't caused by extreme weather, but by an over-reliance on wind and solar. If the UK continues on its headlong path to Net Zero, we can expect similar failures.

Why do we fail to deport those whom we should deport? It's due in the end, says Dr David McGrogan, to an excess of pity. We are pitying ourselves into disorder and social decay. We need to be willing not to be nice.

New Gardai HQ - Croke Park (with help from Dublin Bus)

They must be giving out free donuts in Croke Park for the kind people in the GAA seem to be housing half of the Gardai force.

If you are having trouble getting a bus home from work, don't worry, those wonderful people in Dublin Bus have their buses, drivers and inspectors hanging around Croke Park for the poor police force to avail off.

Plenty of Gardai hanging around the city centre although they have cut back from 4 Gardai to 2 outside McDonalds on O'Connell Street.

They must have ran out of donuts....

Gardai hanging around Mountjoy Square (although it was a lack of Gardai hanging around the same square earlier this year that saw Dublin Bus stoping their service here after 7.00pm at night due to attacks on drivers)

Interesting that Dublin Bus are soo supportive since it's the protesters that are trying (amongst other things) to stop the push towards privatising services such as transport via the Lisbon Agenda.

Another Dublin Bus full of Gardai dis-embarking outside Croke Park this afternoon.

Waiting half-an-hour for a bus in rush hour? Go to Croke Park instead, the serice is great there.

It's very tempting to suggest that the Guards be doughnutted in Croke Park. It would be terrible if they discovered all their transport was blocked in... by persons seeking to prevent a recurrence of the unseemly riot we experienced two years ago.

Now lads (n lassies), no foreign games in there!!

Nice photos Joe.
I heard rumours that Cuisine de France had opened a temporary outlet near the groung alright but i thought that was for the protestors.....
Ah well better stock up on Donuts tonight there wont be any to be had in the city centre tomorrow!
Wonder if theyll be using the "ah now yev had yer day out" line!
