offsite link The Great Climate Science Swindle Goes On Thu Jun 12, 2025 09:00 | Chris Morrison
"It will be remembered as the greatest mass delusion in the history of the world ? that CO2, the life of plants, was deemed for a time to be a deadly poison." So said Prof Richard Lindzen. He's right, says Chris Morrison.

Shakespeare is the key to understanding Trump, says Prof James Alexander. Trump is not system-politics, is not deep-state politics. Trump is court politics. And Shakespeare is our guide to the flamboyance of the court.

Whatever is going on in Los Angeles, Western media want you to know that it is peaceful, okay? And any violence is due to unjustified escalation by the evil dictator in the White House. It's definitely not a riot.

R.I.P. Howard Zinn -radical U.S. historian and anti-war activist.

VID (58 mins) - "America's Holy Wars"

VID 58 minutes - Howard Zinn was an American historian, social critic, and activist. He is best known as author of the best-seller A People’s History of the United States. In one of his last lectures before his death last week, he spoke at Boston University on November 11 2009, on the subject of American “Holy Wars.”

Sad to hear of the passing of radical U.S. historian Howard Zinn. I have just viewed the above lecture that captures Zinn's wisdom, gentle humour and peace he embodied in old age. His journey from a bombadier over Dresden to radical educator and nonviolent anti-war resistance is quite amazing. In this lecture he tackles the rarely questioned Holy Wars of U.S. history
-the revolutionary war
-the civil war
-and WW2

I heard him once in a New York bar along with Alan Ginsberg and Norman Mailer at an evening in memory of the then recently departed Abbie Hoffman. They have all since passed.

He is sorely missed as the U.S. wars on Iraq and Afghanistan grind on with little resistance or debate in civil society.

A shorter piece (5.52) is Zinn's speech at the 85th. birthday party of anti-war activist Fr. Daniel Berrigan. Berrigan and Zinn travelled to North Vietnam together during the war to take delivery of 3 U.S. pilots who had been shot down. Zinn later was the "handler" of Berrigan as he was underground being hunted by the F.B.I. following the raid on the Catonsville draft board.
