Dublin - Event Notice Thursday January 01 1970 Climate Change and the Environmental Debt: a view from the 21st Century Socialism![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Monday 9th November @8pm, The Pearse Centre, 27 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 On October, during the last ALBA summit, the member countries of the alliance (Antigua & Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Venezuela) stated their will to pursue at UN level the payment of an environmental debt of the developed and industrialized countries with the Global South. This proposal, while welcomed by environmental and global justice campaigners has sparked a lively debate in the face of the Copenhagen summit.
