I heard of some Jewish people when I was in New York who would NOT
go to Starbucks BECAUSE they pulled out of Israel some 5 years ago .
However if you are lactose intolerant you will their find their Soya Latte suits you

The allegations about Starbucks made in the Middle East and Trafalgar Square, leading to the damaging and looting of, earlier this month, three Starbucks stores in London have been completely refuted by the company.
These allegations seem to have arisen in Gaza and Lebanon simply because CEO Howard Schultz is Jewish and hence are simply sectarian and quite literally anti-semitic.
I'm sure the activists involved in this culture-jamming exercise would be mortified to learn their efforts to make a difference have led them to this result! Or rather, I hope they would be!

This stunt is a misguided one.
Starbucks are not stocking Isrealie products,
They have no stores in Isreal since they removed them in 2003
They have over 100 stores in other middle east countries
They are not on the Irish Palestine Solidarity Committe list of companies to boycott.
As a company they donate no money to isreal ( just check company accounts where such donations must be decalred.)
I applaud the activism of such actions, but why not hit the companies with clear links to Isreal? Follow the list of the IPSC. or any other reputable pro Isrealie boycott website.

You pose a question about what criteria should be used for the boycotting of companies.
The answer is simple. Companies that stock Israelis products or otherwise support Israel TODAY should be boycotted.
Whether the founders or current owners of those companies are jewish, catholic, protestant, muslim etc is completly irrlevant. So if Tesco or Marks and Spencer stock Israeli goods or support Israel in other ways they should be the subject of a boycott.
If any of this companies cease to stock Israeli goods the boycott should be lifted. And again the religion of the owners of the company should be irrelevant.
Its not very complicated.
"Complicity" is a bit strong, but I heard on al jazeera the other day that the starbucks boss gives 10% of the net corporate profits to the Israeli army (not to the Israeli state). That's probably not tax deductible, even in the USA, so the starbucks shareholders are all indirectly paying as well.
What do you add to the list that is anti-zionist but not anti-semitic? Tescos? Marks and Spencers? These were founded by Jewish families, who may or may not have been zionists, but now belong to everyone.
