Reports of Israeli Refusenik courage break through media blackout thanks to independent media![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Israeli Social TV tells the story the state doesn't want you to hear It's easy to forget, when watching the news or reading the papers, that no all of the people in the Israeli state support the state's actions, indeed there are many who actively oppose it. The Israeli state doesn't want you to know it, but since 1948 there have been large numbers of jews in Palestine who are opposed to Zionism and there is a noble history of political organisations like Matzpen, Zochrot and Anarchists Against The Wall among others, writers like Ilan Pappe, as well as the NGOs and the countless refuseniks. With each generation there are those who weather the received wisdom they are bombarded with daily, and refuse to surrender their humanity to serve a state that has distorted jewish history to serve its own nefarious ends. Here, in the context of total war against the people of Gaza and the recent banning of the main Arab political parties inside the state on the grounds of their "disloyalty", Israeli Social TV by-passes the state censors to bring you the courageous testimonies of a growing movement among the new generation of Israelis who are refusing to serve Israel's war in any way. |

A peace initiative is desperately needed now, to prevent further suffering of innocent people, which is not to say that all Palestinians are innocent, or that all Israelis are guilty: a state's media will always say that we are the ones who are justified. Do all you can to promote peace, for the sake of the children and future generations of Palestine and Israel, so they don't have to inherit their parents' wars.
