The BBC obviously leans heavily Left, says one former staff member, writing anonymously in the Daily Sceptic. But to the people who work there, their right-on views are just the 'normal' and 'objective' way to think.

Women are being told it's "uncool" and "Republican" to have a boyfriend, with some even cropping out their partners' heads on holiday snaps. This is not going to help the birth rate or women's happiness, says Joanna Gray.

Trust in the BBC has been collapsing for years. For many, it finally died during Covid when the national broadcaster took on the role of chief cheerleader for the lockdowns, no dissent allowed. A reckoning is long overdue.

It's been a very long time since the BBC even pretended to be impartial on climate change, says Chris Morrison. The truth is, decades of crying 'Fire!' in the climate theatre have left the BBC with net zero credibility.

COP30 is Trump's Eisenhower moment, says Dr Tilak Doshi. Just as Eisenhower's Suez intervention ended Europe's pretensions to empire, Trump's energy realism is ending Brussels's grandiloquent claims to climate leadership.

Our National Games

Our National Games is a play of betrayal of ideals, aspirations and people.

What would you do if you were asked to choose between losing your career and participating in an injustice? That's the question asked in Our National Games - play about the betrayal of ideals, aspirations and people.

This striking new play brings to life the events surrounding one of the most high profile and dramatic moments in Irish history - The Arms Crisis.

In 1969 police attacks on civil rights activists in the North of Ireland caused major disturbances that threatened to engulf the Republic. Irish Army officer, Captain James Kelly, was catapulted into the limelight in 1970 when charged with illegally importing arms to Ireland for use in the defence of working class nationalist areas in the North. The event led to what became known as The Arms Crisis.

Our National Games explores the concept of political and military leadership, loyalty to past principles and the survival of the State as the key players, Minister Charles Haughey and Captain James Kelly, were put on trial.

Did this failure of decisive leadership partly shaped the history of the 30 years which followed, condemning another generation of young Irish people to violence and emigration?

A debate with guest speakers will be held after the performance
