The other side of Lisbon

category cork | eu | event notice author Tuesday March 11, 2008 20:46author by cropbeye - Anti War Ireland In Corkauthor email cropbeye at yahoo dot comauthor address Cork city (North Side) Report this post to the editors

What the Government won't tell you.

Public meeting on the proposed Treaty of Lisbon.

Get some info before the Referendum and it is too late to complain

Victoria Hotel Cork Thus 27th Mar at 8 p.m

Speakers Roger Cole Speaker from Sinn Fein Kathy Sinnott M.E.P Daithi MaC An Mahistir.

The Anti WAR Ireland in Cork

has noted a lot of unfairness in the mainstream Media , the Academia and commentators regarding the upcomming

Treaty of Lisbon referendum. It seems that the Yes side have a huge ammount of money , the party propaganda machines

of all the four largest parties which seem to demand absolute blind loyalty in the party leaders on this subject.

So we have decided to sponsor an evening of discussion with guest speakers who each have some expertise in this

area as well as a reputation for demanding accountability and transparence in institutions and power brokers.

All are welcome and we see this as an exercize in citizens doing it for themselves in terms of informing ourselves

thoroughly about the redressed constitution.

Speakers include Roger Cole Peace and Neutrality Alliance. A speaker form Sinn Fein , Kathy Sinnott M.E.P

and Daithi Mac An Mhaistir : activist.

Kathy Sinnott is a good speaker, she gave a speech at UCC last year. Also met her during 2004 Euro elections, very pleasant woman. She's one of the best we have in Ireland to speak out against this Lisbon 'treaty'.

p.s. Cropbeye - is it yerself off p.ie? stannis
