Naceur Charles Aceval was born on the Algerian plateau and grew up in a family of storytellers with a strong Bedouin influence. He has lived in Germany for many years and performs as a professional storyteller, telling the traditional tales he grew up with, as well as Eastern folktales and wisdom tales.

Jump To Comment: 1From the point of view of a family member of the performer, I am very satisfied with how the evening went.
The room was pretty full (not to say crowded), I think there were no free chairs left.
The audience was attentive and eager to follow Naceur Charles Aceval on his journey to the world of nomadic stories.
The first part of the evening, Naceur told stories of his "soon-to-be-published" book "The man that did not want to die" (German original title: "Der Mann, der nicht sterben wollte") and after a short break continued for another 40 minutes with stories from his nomadic tribe, the Ouled Sidi Khaled of the high plateaus of Algeria.
As far as I can say it in an objective way, Naceur delivered a pretty good performance and should feel confident that on his next visit to Ireland an even bigger audience will be there to listen to his telling.
Great evening!
