Excellent talk tonight.

The best part of the talk was Harry's views on the Republic holding out for the Second World War to start, something I always thought would have led to the Republics eventual triumph over Fascism. In Harrys view, unlike that of most historians, the Democracies would not have come to the aid of the Republic, instead the British had plans to help Finland fight off Russia which would have put the latter Allied forcs on the side of Hitler in a War with the USSR!

I'd urge all those intrested in the history and personal storiesof the Spanish Civil War to get along to the next talk, hopefully in the City next time though.
