E Gilmore was on the airwaves begging FF to name a date ( I Paraphrase here)

'The no campaign is gathering momentum, they are saying things that have nothing in essence
to do with the treaty, we need to have a honest debate about the pros and cons of the treaty'.

This, I found incredibly funny , given that Labour (both youth and grey) are supporting a yes-
and I do wonder wherein the peramaeters for discussion will be laid, once of course the
Treaty date is announced?

I heard a British MP on BBC Radio 4 say that with the Lisbon Treaty the smaller states would no longer be able to tell the larger states what to do. The Irish politicians say the opposite. Which is the truth or are they playing to their respective galleries? The answer should be easy to decipher!

It is farcical that Ireland, after hundred's of years of being dominated and oppressed by England, takes her hard won freedom and shreds it as if her constitution's papers were no more than yesterday's news.

So enamoured by the money flooded in by the EEC in the early days, when the British had been so ungenerous and greedy, Ireland is about to be sucked into a becoming just a set of adjacent regions of an autocratic state far worse than that she struggled from the chains of.

The above is a quote from a blog on youtube
