oh my little eye caught this "Model Search (Male & Female) - In association with Ireland's
leading model agency; we are looking for Ireland's next top models.....Register early on Sat 20th to avoid disappointment......Prize: Agency representation & portfolio" then this "** Terms & Conditions Model search

To enter the competition, entrants must be between 16 and 30 years of age. All entries shall be judged by a panel of judges who shall judge the winner. The judges' decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into. By entering this competition, the entrant agrees that the promoter shall have the right to publish the entrant's photographs in any of its publications and in any media now known or hereinafter invented, including in its newspapers and on its website. The winner shall be required to participate in publicity. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and accordingly the promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the competition and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the promoter as a result thereof. No cash alternative."

oooooooooooooooooo thought I that would be :-

a) pretty ethnics
b) scurrulous & typical model agency behaviour.

So having read the small print let's see the faces of those who are represented by "Ireland's leading model agency" - it's Assets Model Agency (by the way).
28 The Basement Lower Leeson Street. Dublin 2........used to be a Leeson street club, no-one who is pretty now remembers those.

here are the girlies, lovely every one & not one ethnic amongst them-
http://www.assetsmodels.com/female_models.php
here are the guys, hunky to a boy & Mathew John is the black chap
http://www.assetsmodels.com/male_models.php
I'm sure you prefer this sort of browsing to reading the translated text of the "Master of the 4 anals" over at Cork university online library (but if dishiness & its exploitation & general body fascism aren't your thing - go here http://indymedia.ie/article/84619 )

some new faces (would these be poor unfortuanates who have promised their image by be used in all publications and in any media now known or hereinafter invented?
http://www.assetsmodels.com/female_newfaces.php
again not one ethnic.
http://www.assetsmodels.com/male_newfaces.php
one black chap, of course he could just be covered in dark glistening oil. Still his tits are smaller than Ryan's.

It's wonderful to see a "New Communities" tradeshow shindig at the Royal Dublin Society & consider the history of that illustrious institution in holding the Irish head high in the Empire.
But surely we have some thoughts on the role of "pretty ethnics" & the fashion industry, advertising, image exploitation & migrant integration?

Go on surely we do.
