 In November and December 2006, Indymedia Ireland embarked on a fundraising drive to raise money to pay our hosting costs and to send money to Africa to help establish an indymedia centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
We held a series of events to celebrate our fifth birthday and raised money through the internet. We ended up raising about €1,100. On Thursday, January 19th, we transferred €600 to IMC-Africa Kenya. We would like to thank all of our supporters and readers for their generous contributions to this worthy cause. The details of the money raised is given below.
