Jump To Comment: 1Most of us would have a liberal knee jerk reaction against American imperialism, but stories such as the links you have provided slowly but surely cuts the legs from under any US spokesperson from sucessfully reaching for the high moral ground.
This has serious delegitimisation issues for the US government both domestically and foreign policy wise. As the US (self imposed world policing power) negotiates with the rest of the world (e.g China economics and human rights issues) their room for maneover is being severly curtailed.
This of course is a good thing. It can not happen fast enough.
Are we seeing the fall of American imperial/economic power?
Or will the US recover as it did from the vietnam war.
