Internationally we are known to be allies to GB, the United superstates of America and the EU superstates.
The very reason Ireland was piss-poor for centuries was the fact that we did not sell out to the userers as everyone else did.
We have done that now, and our material 'prosperity' is what we see.
Isn't it a Bummer that we have to pay the price for shiny tings down the line.
A mass action at Dublin Airport might prove more effective and might certaintly wake a public that obviously does not care about the dead of war but do care if their little two week trip to spain is interfered with!
occupy the dublin runway!
i don't think it would be possible to have a mass civil disobidence protest if it was organised in secret. i think from experience we know the guards would be well prepared in advance. The catholic worker small acts of sabotage seemed to get alot of publicity anyway. I don't think it would be possible to shut down the airport as none of us can fly, and we can't get thousands of people to block the gates on any sustained time, so really it's publicity we're after. So whatever way to get the most numbers makes sense. For actual sabotage to prevent the military using it, I can't see much of a way of doing it. After all the US are dealing with a guerilla way in Iraq so a few smashed planes isn't going to stop them. but in saying that, the publicity that the sabateurs got from it awakeded people to the fact shannon was being used to transport troops. But again I think we should be thinking in terms as publicity and embarrassing the government because in reality we do not have the numbers or time to actually shut down an airport.
Mindful of SWP's behavior, I think activists like you should go ahead and do whatever it is you say the IAWM/SWP are against. You can do it!!
