Spain and Portugal?s Blackout Reveals the Achilles? Heel of Electricity Grids Dominated by Wind and ... Tue Apr 29, 2025 17:00 | Anonymous Engineer
The power outage in Spain and Portugal wasn't caused by extreme weather, but by an over-reliance on wind and solar. If the UK continues on its headlong path to Net Zero, we can expect similar failures.

An Excess of Pity: Why We Fail to Deport Those Whom We Should Deport Tue Apr 29, 2025 15:00 | Dr David McGrogan
Why do we fail to deport those whom we should deport? It's due in the end, says Dr David McGrogan, to an excess of pity. We are pitying ourselves into disorder and social decay. We need to be willing not to be nice.

'He was dividing God's land, and I would say woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the EU, the United Nations or United States of America.'
♣‡ Appease America?! Huh?
Robertson is an ultra-ULTRA American 'Patriot' yet he says that a foriegn country should disobey the United States.
This sort of surreal hyper-nationalism is straight out of The Manchurian Candidate.
But it is not a Maoist Plot, but a plan to bring on the end of the world - a Nuclear War in the Middle East is what they want, and if someone like Pat Robertson can show some moral support for God's plan to kill all the Jews in Israel (and the Muslims in the neighorhood), welll. that's just all God's plan, isn't it?
Total whack-job. But he has money and influence - millions of followers and a personal friend to George W.

Armageddon Anxiety: Evil on the Way
by WILLIAM COOK
'Not all Christians accept this interpretation, but for those who do, the reestablishment of Israel in 1948 ushered in the conditions necessary to bring about the rapture: Jewish control of Jerusalem and rebuilding the temple. Then and only then can the final, great battle called Armageddon begin. Estimates vary, but Halsell claims "10 to 40 million Americans believe Palestine is God's chosen land for the Jews". Maintenance of Israel as a nation becomes an obligation on the part of Christian Zionists if Biblical prophecy is to be fulfilled.
That places George W. Bush in a unique position as a leader of the world's mightiest military power: to bring about the fulfillment of God's prophecy.
....Christian fundamentalists and Jewish Messianic settlers ... promise formation of a "Greater Israel" that will usher in Armageddon. They, too, see war between Muslims and Jews as bringing about the Second Coming.'

Robertson may help build biblical ''heritage center'' in Israel
By STEVEN G. VEGH, The Virginian-Pilot
January 5, 2006
A patch of Galilee where Jesus Christ ministered to multitudes has been targeted by Israel for a biblical “heritage center” that may be built in partnership with Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson and other American evangelicals.
According to the Jerusalem Post , the Israeli tourism department said an evangelical consortium led by Robertson, whose Christian Broadcasting Network is based in Virginia Beach, is negotiating a deal with Israel’s government that could yield a flood of new tourists for the country.
[....]
But the Jerusalem Post reported that evangelicals would raise about $50 million to build a “heritage center” on land Israel would provide for free.
[....]
The collaboration between Israel and evangelicals would be one more demonstration of the close bond between the two groups, despite evangelicals’ ultimate goal that all non-Christians, including Jews, become Christian. Many Jews view evangelicals as Israel’s staunchest allies in the United States.
Robertson is particularly passionate about supporting Israel, which he considers the focus of future events foretold in the Bible.
Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Daniel Ayalon, called Robertson “a true and loyal friend to our country and the people of Israel,” during a Norfolk visited hosted by local evangelicals in 2004. “He stands tall with us, in good times and bad.”

... here's another one... Ray Nagin....
"Mr Nagin was forced to apologise for remarks on 16 January 2006, when he suggested the multiple hurricanes which lashed the US in 2005 must indicate God was "mad at America... for being in Iraq under false pretences".
"But surely he is upset at black America also. We're not taking care of ourselves," he added. "
From the February 6 edition of CBN's The 700 Club:
REV PAT ROBERTSON: Studies that I have read indicate that having babies is a sign of a faith in the future. You know, unless you believe in the future, you're not going to take the trouble of raising a child, educating a child, doing something. If there is no future, why do it? Well, unless you believe in God, there's really no future. And when you go back to the existentialism of Jean-Paul Sartre, the whole idea of this desperate nightmare we are in -- you know, that we are in this prison, and it has no hope, no exit. That kind of philosophy has permeated the intellectual thinking of Europe, and hopefully it doesn't come here. But nevertheless, ladies and gentlemen, Europe is right now in the midst of racial suicide because of the declining birth rate. And they just can't get it together. Why? There's no hope.

Evangelical Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson said Monday on his live "700 Club" television program that the purpose of the Islamic faith is global control and that terrorists are motivated by Satan.
After watching a news segment about radical Islam in Europe, Robertson remarked that the torrent of rage provoked by cartoon drawings of the Prophet Mohammed "just shows the kind of people we're dealing with. These people are crazed fanatics, and I want to say it now: I believe it's motivated by demonic power. It is satanic and it's time we recognize what we're dealing with."
Robertson also said that "the goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen whether you like it or not, is world domination."
