In the wake of the Supreme Court's landmark trans ruling, is a Gender Recognition Certificate worth anything at all? Not really, says Mark Ellse ? but our muddled politicians won't be in a rush to admit they messed up.

Australia Elects Weak Tea Bag to Lead the Country Mon May 05, 2025 15:15 | Rebekah Barnett
Given the choice between two weak tea bags, Australia elected a weak tea bag, says Rebekah Barnett. Liberal leader Peter Dutton even lost his seat, a reflection of his hopeless deficit in personality and policies.

"The money would go towards getting the huge photo made and exhibited around the world..."
Given that theres no idea of how much this would cost, and dosent seem to be any plan as to how its actually going to be done this is a bit of a non runner perhaps?
Also i notice the same dog appears twice on the wall - or at least the same photo at the moment on Grids 1,1 and 5,15 for example.
I dont doubt the creators motives, but seriously........... ( and no doubt there are a lot of similar sites which try make money from peoples good will)
Nuff said.
Dear Dog wall Founder
To help your project why dont you advertise on a similar project i have found while browsing, it could get your thing moving faster
all thebest markdin
www.wallproject.net
What a load of *******
Money used to fund the project? Are you joking me?
Who's the project? You
What are your running costs- you design websites for a living- nil, about two seconds.
You want to exibit the largest photo in the world.? Even a cm per photo is a 100,000 cms squared for the picture.....
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PRINT IT?
Next we'll be collecting for the largest printer in the world.
If you love animals, go walk your dog. Stop codding the rest us us. Only $1 each. Get lost!
I've also eaten cat in a stew in Ireland it was roadkill. Best thing I've eaten were crickets (the chirpy kind) in a house in London. We had no choice, very difficult to kill, and they make so much noise we couldn't find people to move into the house. Then along came a wonderful japanese girl who said "in my country we eat" & replied "what is good for Nippon is good for Streatham". Strangely enough, many years later I moved to my present home on the continent, and the same day I moved into a big shared house, a German guy moved in too. & we fell to speaking about "strange things eaten". & it emerged that he had eaten crickets too. In fact the girl who had introduced him to insect eating had just moved into the room he had left in Germany. "How strange!" exclaimed my good self, and then added as a joke "was she Japanese?". & it transpired that she was in fact from Tokyo, and was none-other than that very same girl 3 years before in Streatham.
You are better advised not to eat meat-eating animals for the increased risk of endo-parasites. But you'd be wise to leave off manytypes of sausage and all sushi as well if you're worried about w-o-r-m-s.
I've eaten dog.
It's quite nice provided they're well fed... ironically domestic dogs (as opposed to strays or wilds) taste best as they are generally better fed.
I agree dogs and other animals shouldn't be treated cruelly but I've killed and eaten dog a few times (mainly abroad) and it's well worth it... only problem is there's a fair bit of 'waste' biomass product but I suppose that usually goes on the compost heap.
& that this somehow communicate the plight of dogs who aren't loved. & note that of those dogs who _do_ get photographed the majority will probably be (correct me if I'm wrong) neutered, microchip tagged, and fed shit all their lives. Or is that information not important considering the project's iniator declares its non-political nature? Strange, it was published with (obvious) effort on a political site.
Dogs in poor places get possibly better food less of the time and kids throw stones at them. Dogs in rich places get their balls destroyed, their uteri spiked, their sex lives decided, eat shit every day, rot their teeth passports and euthanasia.
There is something very political about how dogs are treated. I tried to get that across in the sunday papers on "going to the dogs· and all the comments i wrote thereafter. Only redjade made one comment. & it has James Joyce!, in it Mrs O Connor. = Read it all. And respect the belief that indymedia space ought not be used to "build walls" of any type.
But it appears this is the last "silly" article of the 2005/2006 holiday season. So here we are dribbling & wagging our tails.
"Someday everyone will have a mp3 and we won't need politics"
No they're not, they're dogs.
Well, If I wanted to con people I would'nt reveal all about myself including telephone and address on my site in the first place. Secondly have a look at the site ......to process 1 dogs photos etc takes 20 to 30 minutes, SO if I continue for years to do this and people pay a dollar ( which is optional) I will end up earning considerably less than minimum wage. The money will be used to fund the project ...not to any existing charity......This is a personal response from dog lovers to show the positive side of loving a dog and to make others aware that its not that way for all dogs. ( Check out the other links on the site )
The end result of the project will be to make the largest photograph in the world and exhibit it.....
Oh Ye Of Little Faith In Good Things...this is not not about politics
Any more questions then feel free
Yours Mary P O Connor
Somthing fishy here. You want to post a million pictures of dogs.A noble thing in itself on the net ?You are asking for $1 a pic?$1x 1million equals one million dollars!!!Well $999000 as you are giving away the first $1000 er pics for free.
First off...What are you going to do with the $999000??
Which canine welfare will it be donated to??Where and when? Will you post on your website a certified IRS document that you informed them of this and that the recipient dog welfare charity got this money and that they also post a revelant IRS declaration that they recived this charitable donation??
Not that I dont trust you of course, but there are alot of conmen, swindlers, etc that would play such a trick on the well meaning.
If you would like to clarify your position....???
complete with barcodes, and then compare them with dogs of other places.
Indymedia can be a lot of things. It has evolved in each countrty or city in a different way. If you don't read the site, and search all its "dog" articles :-
http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?search_text=dogs
You don't really get to appreciate our "particular" stance on the dog question.
& then you may regretably publish at great effort (obviously) what could be construed as a petition. But then again, its Christmas holidays, and dogs aren't just for Christmas and neither are leftwing sites.
There is such a difference in the life of humans across a million. Do we need photos of dogs to prove that?
I did a "sunday papersº" on "dogs"
I fear dogowners get ruff justice, your tail deserves to be read. On other sites you would be scorned but on Indymedia you are not barking up the wrong tree. I agree that the French are more open to dogs, especially the Alsatians. In rural Germany you will find a welcome from German Shepards.
I'm a cat "owner" myself but often find that I am also discriminated against. Few bars will admit Pushkin, even politicos look askance if I bring him to meetings.
I dont suppose you want a cat photo so I'll try and dig out a picture of a dog I used to own, spot. A sad name I know but he already had it when I got him ("Hello, my name is Spot").
I'll paws now.
