Super Flu? More Like Super Hype Sun Dec 14, 2025 13:05 | Dr David Livermore
Present case numbers for the ?K? variant Super-Flu don't justify the hype, says Dr David Livermore. Perhaps it's the media lust for fear porn, or perhaps the Government's fear of the strike, but it's not a Super-crisis.

Good Bus is back!
Good to see Dissent organising buses from around Ireland. I know many key Independent activists within Belfast will be boarding the Dissent bus, and I look forward to both travelling and accounting for those travels to, and the actions at, the G8 at a later date.
Just to note other buses are planned in Belfast, Firstly there are ones booked by NGO groups etc such as Christian Aid who will be taking of from Larne.
Then there is the SWP bus unless it has been called under G8 alternatives or whatever - I believe in Dublin though the SWP are booking buses with others under a wider umbrella though, after a public meeting.
Then there still may be the possibility of a Make Poverty History {MPH} bus as well which will be discussed at the MPH committee meeting soon.
I say the more buses the better. but in a Personal Capacity' I state that I have pencilled myself in for the Dissent bus as have many other activists that I work and engage with from across the Movements around Ireland.
Until the G8,
Davy Carlin Chairperson Anti Racism Network N.I, of the
Editorial group Street Seen, and of the
Make Poverty History, Northern Ireland Organising and Communications Committees. {PC}
See ya there..
Who decided on booking buses? Who is co-ordinating with other groups? Who is co-ordinating the trip?
Who elected them? And to who are they accountable?
Anarchists always have self-appointed undemocratic ways of organising.
'make capitalism history' bloc on the MPH march - good call, shall be joining that bloc
and who are you to question them, what did democrats ever give the world?
Adolf Hitler,
Idi Amin,
Robert Mugabe,
George W. Bush...
all great democratically elected leaders!
If you're gathering intelligence, then do it the hard way: infiltrate our meetings, they're open and public.
If you're just trolling then wait for one of the SWP front buses, there'll be loads of room.
A group of activists come together to discuss mobilising for the G8.....
They decide on booking buses......
They distribute organisational responsibilities through open meetings......
They co-ordinate with other groups as they see fit.....
They co-ordinate the trip....
Now some questions for you.
Who elected you? Who do you represent when posting on indymedia? Are you accountable? Who co-ordinates you when posting?
Any contacts for galway?
looks like there might be a few other buses being organised - be in touch
>Who decided on booking buses?
About 30 people at a dissent meeting
>..co-ordinating with other groups?
Dissent has member of many diverse groups from all across Ireland.
>..co-ordinating the trip?
Dissent!
>Who elected them? And to who are they accountable?
*sigh*
>Anarchists always have self-appointed undemocratic ways of organising.
anon. posts on indymedia.. *amazing*
Great articles on previous summit protests at http://www.daysofdissent.org.uk/
Anyone know whether there are buses running from Cork for Thursday's rally in Dublin? Coming back the same night? Cheers.
