Why do we fail to deport those whom we should deport? It's due in the end, says Dr David McGrogan, to an excess of pity. We are pitying ourselves into disorder and social decay. We need to be willing not to be nice.

New Irish Youth Activist Organisation!

category dublin | anti-capitalism | press release author Monday March 07, 2005 21:22author by TODAYauthor email Todayeire at hotmail dot com Report this post to the editors

T.O.D.A.Y stands for 'The Organisation of Dublin's Activist Youth'.

We are a new group whos aim is to unite all young Anarchists, Communists, Socialists, Anti-Racists, Animal Rights Campaigners and Anti-War protesters and try to organise a large group of young politically aware activists in Ireland. We believe in direct action and support such groups as Anti- Fascist Action, Reclaim The Streets, Food Not Bombs and the WOMBLES.

Our Points of Unity:

We believe in actively fighting fascists and racists in our community. We will paint over racist graffiti, take down racist stickers and posters and wherever fascists organise we will be there. We believe that we have to confront Irish groups such as the Immigrant Control Platform, the Celtic Wolves and the Immigration Resistance Movement before they can build and organise on a mass scale.

We are against the illegal occupations of Iraq and Palsetine and we will join any worthy protests and direct action activites against them.

We are against the abuse of animals whether it's foxhunting, animal testing or the fur trade. Hopefully in the future we will work with the Animal Liberation Front and the Hunt Saboteurs Association in direct action against these cruel and inhumane activites.

We support the National Liberation Struggles of Catalonia, the Basque Provinces, Palestine, the Kurds and other regions who love under oppresive and dictatorship regimes.

We believe that the youth of Ireland and over the world must unite and fight against all types of oppresion, racism, sexism, fascism, imperialism, chauvinism, and reactionary nationalism.
