Hitting the streets soon

category antrim | rights, freedoms and repression | other press author Thursday March 03, 2005 18:37author by Davy Carlin - Editorial Committee Street Seenauthor email streetseen04 at hotmail dot com Report this post to the editors

Street Seen's new edition should be hitting the streets soon.

The next edition of Street Seen should be hitting the Streets of cities and towns -North and South - in the short time ahead.

Street Seen affords space to those who may not find space afforded elsewhere for their stories, poetry, ideas etc as well as providing an avenue for more established writers and activists to put out their message.

As importantly Street Seen is an activist - campaigning paper that has and will seek to mobilise and offer support and solidarity on local and International issues of concern.

A growing interest -

Street seen will soon be available from Belfast to Dublin - from Galway to Derry. It can be purchased through vendors on the streets as well as in some colleges and shops.

Anyone interested in getting involved in supporting Street Seen and it projects can drop us a line.

Apart from our newspaper and regular bulletins our website attached is regularly
updated.

Recent articles {just recently updated} include an interview by the kidnapped Italian Journalist as well as an article on the Pitstop Ploughshares Trial.

Street Seen activism has and will range from setting up writing groups, providing 'real and practical' grassroots support and solidarity within society - through to organising public meetings, films and demos etc.

We will organise on the ground at a local grassroots level while mobilising to travel to International Anti Globalisation demos and Solidarity demos etc.

Those already involved in Street Seen include key activists involved in many areas of activism - From Anti Racism to Anti Poverty, those involved in Solidarity and community based support Networks to those who deal with Houseless persons or agitate within the unions etc.

In fact activists from across the Movements and Networks.

Street Seen will operate and organise in an open, democratic and accountable way while engaging and working with many others in a fraternal manner.

Street Seen archived editions will also be available soon here online.
