We Shouldn?t Increase Spending on Children With Special Educational Needs. We Should Cut It Sun May 04, 2025 11:00 | Mary Gilleece
The UK's SEND sector is an expensive, infantilising job-creation scheme for middle-aged women that fails to improve outcomes and urgently needs cutting back, argues Mary Gilleece.

A person identifying as Esther McVey told Mike Graham on Talk earlier this week that "Net Zero was a dud". Surely this could not be the Esther McVey who spent years inflicting it on the British public, says Chris Morrison.

Prof James Alexander has finally given in and watched Adolescence. It's so bad, he says, that for the second season Brad Bitt should get Guy Ritchie to come in and ensure all the irritating characters are duly shot.

Al Qaeda also has become more difficult to contain since the Sept. 11 attacks because after Osama bin Laden lost his training base in Afghanistan he began inspiring smaller militant groups to do his bidding, EU counterterrorism coordinator Gijs de Vries told The Associated Press.

However, while the missions of the military and the press clearly differ, each institution must also resolve tensions within itself as it pursues a range of competing concerns and goals, particularly with regard to news coverage. These diverse concerns and goals can modify the way in which each institution pursues its main mission. For example, the military’s interest in using news coverage to support its mission might result in more press access than would a focus on maintaining operational security alone. Along a different line, the press’s interest in increasing market share might in some instances threaten the sincerity of its pursuit of 4th Estate obligations.
I regularly check out Hezbullahs news station and find it very informative. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Al Qaeda. It is simply a voice for the oppressed in Palestine, thats why the yanks and zionists want it silenced.
Al Jazeera was branded a front for Al Qaeda as well. They will simply try to silence all the radical voices on this planet. Anyone who stands up forcefully to the world order can expect this type of treatment.
The lead writer of a U.N. report on freedom and governance in the Arab world said on Saturday the United States was threatening to cut off funds to a U.N. agency if the United Nations releases it.
Nader Fergani, the Egyptian social scientist who has worked on the last three Arab Human Development Reports, told Reuters defying the United States could cost the U.N. Development Programme (UNDP) about $100 million a year
[....]
Washington is unhappy, Fergani said, with sections in the report on the U.S. occupation of Iraq and the activities of its ally Israel in the Palestinian territories
[....]
Ironically, the United States used the first Arab Human Development Report, dated 2002, as the basis for its first detailed proposals on reform in the Arab world
Next they'll want to ban the bleedin' "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion", always a popular topic on Hezbollah tv.
