A person identifying as Esther McVey told Mike Graham on Talk earlier this week that "Net Zero was a dud". Surely this could not be the Esther McVey who spent years inflicting it on the British public, says Chris Morrison.

Prof James Alexander has finally given in and watched Adolescence. It's so bad, he says, that for the second season Brad Bitt should get Guy Ritchie to come in and ensure all the irritating characters are duly shot.

Human, .:.Created Equal.:. Hobbit = Elf or what???

with the publicity seeking title "hobbit" discovery of Homo floresiensis in Malaysia two links.

Oh is it Fir Bholg or Milesians?
- I know the answers to this one.
but I can't publish it, it has too many F and C words.

"Our not so distant relative"
is how the English put it.
"Our little cousin"
is how the Spanish press put it.
Today the Bush campaign web site refused all access requests from European geographically based internet users. A fact reported in most European press. Accordingly I am boycotting american geographically based user websites. (with the obvious exception of indymedia with servers located on both side of the very very small and very navigable Atlantic).

Scientists have discovered a new species of human in remotest Indonesia. Henry Gee reports on the Hobbit-like creature which questions our unique heritage.

W hen Indonesian and Australian archaeologists started to excavate a limestone cave on the Indonesian island of Flores, they weren't prepared for what they found, the skeleton of an entirely new species of human, Homo floresiensis, that lived as recently as 18,000 years ago.

(That's the english version). If you're going to write a book on this, I'd recommend comparing the Utah, Texas and Pennsylvania local press reaction with that of the Nederlands, far right wing former East Germany, the chat sites of you know who, and the feature pages of both SE Asia and Australia.

If you're just a reader, or you're like a "self-censoring" Irish journo (never can be too careful) then here's the links to The Guardian (which to be honest I like for certain reasons)
