The Connolly Soviet will be running the second of its Last Friday Comedy Club on 26th August at 9.00pm at Seomra Spraoi, Belvidere Court, off Mountjoy Square in Dublin.

Given the current situation in Maghaberry prison and in particular the plight of POW Brendan Lillis, the Soviet has decided to run the event as a benefit night for the Free Brendan Lillis Campaign. Seomra Spraoi have agreed to facilitate this on humanitarian grounds.

There will be the usual mix of pre-arranged comedians and open mic, and we hope to build on the excellent quality of the comedy from our last event in June which was recorded by the RTE Arena show. After the comedy, and given the theme of the evening, there will be Irish Republican music to finish off the night.

5 euro on the door with all proceeds going to the Free Brendan Lillis Campaign
