The Euronews "WAKE UP IRELAND" protester

Why are these filthy scum not in prison? says his poster.

Where are the Irish people?

Well where are they, the country has lost its sovereignty, is being robbed blind and has the IMF forcing massive massive cuts, but where is the anger, where is the people fighting back???

Where are the Irish people? - The Euronews "WAKE UP IRELAND" protester

The other day we saw, thankfully, some resistence from Sinn Fein, but at most there were 50 people. Perhaps things will change this Saturday, with the TEEU call for ‘civil disobedience'.

The Technical Engineering and Electrical Union (TEEU) have now officially called for ‘civil disobedience' to bring the government down and hope to build on this weekend's protests. Their general secretary has declared ‘we are on the brink of significant civil unrest in this country'.

This blog is dedicated to collating and sharing information on resistance being organised by people up and down the country, in mass and individual capacities, against this corrupt government, the toxic banks and the IMF/EU bailout.

We hope that to motivate people by showing them that individuals and groups across the country are mounting acts of resistance. Hopefully, we can turn this anger into a sustained, mass campaign of civil disobedience.
