Jump To Comment: 2 1First off, this isn't exactly new. It's been happening for a long time regardless of the legal situation. Maybe 15 years ago I worked for IR£50 for a 46 hour week because I needed money and needed to pay my own way. Granted I only stayed until I could afford to pack it in but I wasn't the last.
Secondly, not that it means it's acceptable, but I doubt none of us has bought anything that hasn't been produced by badly paid labourers, no matter how well meaning.
Ireland has now joined Gap, Walmart etc. in the exploitation of children
