Blair to call it a day

category international | anti-war / imperialism | other press author Thursday May 10, 2007 19:27author by Seán Ryan Report this post to the editors

George Bush's lackey announced his intention to resign today.

Tony Blair announced today that he will be resigning on the 27th of June.

Ten years in the driving seat has taken its toll on him. Blair took Labour out of an 18 year slump when he took his vision of 'New Labour' into power in Britain in 1997. Since that time he has eroded what little credibility Labour had as a leftist party. This was most glaringly obvious in his push to follow George Bush's orders, regardless as to the cost to himself and his country.

Gordon Brown, Blair's protege seems likely to fill the crack left in Blair's wake.
