Faderhuset want War!

category international | anti-capitalism | press release author Tuesday September 19, 2006 10:54author by Ungdomshuset Report this post to the editors

Christian loons demand eviction in the face of growing resistance

Since the court verdict last month Ungdomshuset's base of supporters has expanded even more, while the fundamentalist Faderhuset has become even more isolated.

The Christian church 'Faderhuset' wants war. They have demanded that actions are taken to evict us. Using the recent decision of the National Court they are now hoping to make the police launch an attack upon our house. In the meantime lawyers are trying to make the supreme court take the case hoping this will improve the situation.

Support is coming in from all sides now. Since the politicians admitted that Ungdomshuset is of great significance and an asset to Copenhagen even the head of the local traders has spoken fondly of the house. Nobody with can now seriously deny that Ungdomshuset has a broad base of support. But still the Christians refuse to resell the house. They do not care what they are trying to destroy and they will not listen to any kind of reason.

Throughout the last weeks their has been an almost endless amount of actions, demonstrations and happenings to keep focus on the threat to Ungdomshuset. To mention a few actions; Jesus has been recrucified for Ungdomshuset, Their has been a demonstration by local children, parents and other friends of the house, the tower of Copenhagen Zoo has been occupied, graffiti supporters have bombed just about everywhere, their has been punk rock attacks througout the city and the local branch of the socialist party has launched a poster campaign. These are just some of the many actions that have happened within the last 10 days or so. We encourage these activities and hope to see more in the future.

The level of activities on the streets since the national court slammed the hammer mean that we expect a large demonstraton this Saturday. We know that people are coming from several countries and we hope to see you as well. So get up and get to Copenhagen if you are not here already. There will be parties, demonstrations and more throughout the weekend.
.
They don't stand a chance against our solidarity

Ungdomshuset stays, they can evict City Hall!
