Or, at least, the need to recapture the unions from the bureaucrats. But please don't belittle the IWU with such an ill-considered remark. Thank you.
why dont we put the energies of setting up 'new' unions into reclaiming the current unions. I want to see 'one big union' of te working class, what's the point in setting up IWU?
ICTU faces a row tomorrow when David Begs moves to slash the resources of the northern ireland office. He has had a series of meetings where pressure has been put on unions to accept the changes due to the cash crisis in ICTU HQ but northern unions are not happy at having a gun put to their head.
