Globalise Resistance Bulletin

GLOBALiSE RESiSTANCE BULLETiN!

The GR meeting on Wednesday 16th was amazing...the discussion,
energy and enthusiasm to get things done really demonstrates that the
electricity about the build up towards the WEF is gathering momentum!
I think considering that the European Time magazine called the WEF the 'headquarters' of Globalisation that we should realise just how HUGE the mobilisations for Oct could be if we do our job right...There is so much anger in the air at the moment against our NeoLiberal Fianna Fail/PD
'overlords' on top of an atmosphere of political generalisation the likes of which WORLDWIDE has never been seen!!

PERMANENT GLOBALiSED RESiSTANCE!

'overlords' on top of an atmosphere of political generalisation the likes of which WORLDWIDE has never been seen!!

PERMANENT GLOBALiSED RESiSTANCE!

here's the timetable of events we decided on at activist meeting:

Friday @ 1 GPO 'Free Fares Day'
Distributing GR WEF flyers to Busworkers and Public. Then around 2 we'll have a little 'Magical AntiPrivitisation Tour' giving WEF flyers to passengers etc.(could be fun!)

Saturday @ 2 Central Bank 'Carlo Guilliani Remembrance' and 'Drop the Debt march'
GR will be doing stall at 2pm to link up with the rally in remembrance of Carlo's assasination by the Italian State and to show our solidarity with the Drop the Debt march (which will go from the top of Grafton street at 2:30 marching to Central Bank at 3)

Sunday @ 12 Teacher's Club 'Irish social forum'
It was decided that Globalise Resistance has to have an input into each of the OCT workgroups and that the 'facillitating' of the blockade means that this could be quite a radical social forum!
(The World Social Forums call for the Boycott of Coke should maybe also be brought up!)

Tuesday @ 5:30 McDonalds Grafton Street 'Boycott Coca Cola Day'
Come along on Tuesday buy some Coke bottles filled with the blood of
colombian trade unionists....see the militias roam the street in search of murder and profit....

It's gonna be a busy weekend!

One more thing.....the evening heralds right wing scare story claiming a sinister band of lunatics were going to be arriving to destroy dublin in Oct
should NOT lead to us condemning the actions of ANY protester...we cant allow ourselves to be 'used' by the right wing media allowing them
to get us 'infighting' in the run up to October!

The COPS are violent!
The CORPORATIONS are violent!
The SYSTEM is violent!

In response we need a diverse and UNITED movement!
PERMANENT GLOBALISED RESISTANCE!!

Anyway talk to ya'll soon!

Together we shall protest peacefully
against the W€F October 18-20 2003 Dublin.

And neither GR nor it's members will condemn
pacifist direct action or civil disobedient.

{ ¿ that is correct is it not ? }

Does anyone else find the relentless happy clappy cheerness upbeat tone of globalise resistance news vomit inducing?

HEY GANG EVERYTHING IS GREAT! WE'RE DOING BRILLIANTLY!!! ONWARDS AND UPWARDS GOOOOOO TEAM!

It's detached from reality and like having a tremendously annoying US Human Resource manager chant upbeat slogans at you.....

Also describing Carlo's death as an assasination? Sorry what protest were you on? No one laced his buckfast with arsneic, he was shot by a 20 conscript who was afraid for his life.

Yadda yadda yadda police repression police shouldn't be there defending the status quo. Fucking blah. The delusion that protestors shouldn't get injured by cops is laughable, you're going to dress in black and trash banks accept that there will be consequences.

And fuck the parasites who'll try and leech support and sympathy from his death....

glad to hear you're getting wef info out there & advocating no condemnation of other activists tactics, it's time to fight neoliberalism not each other.

I really hope GR just show up to support the Carlo march and not to promote themselves. Now that the WEF is not happening I expect them to vanish into the ether again for a while anyway.

Is it just me or do the GR bulletins increasingly read as if they are from the 'Fast Show'! You know the one were the guy wanders across various bits of landscape going 'brilliant' 'amazing' etc.

Or have the SWP recruited a 4th rate copywriter fresh from flogging 'Revolution Cola' in Slovakia?

Does anyone else find the relentless boring miserable cheerless downbeat groan of King Mob suicide inducing?

HEY GANG YOU'RE ALL SHITE! HOPE IS A WASTE OF TIME!!! I'M OFF TO DRINK SOME BUCKY (ARSENIC-LACED, THE WAY I LIKES IT) FUUUUCCKKK YOOOUUSSS!

He's detached from humanity and like having a tremendously depressed glum fucker trying to be funny and failing miserably...

Also describing Carlo's death as accidental? Sorry what protest were you on? Funny how armed riot cops accidentally kill people, innit?

Yadda yadda yadda...God I'm so condescending ..YOU shouldn't be there defending the status quo. Fucking blah right back atchya...Carlo wasn't wearing black anyway... I see stereotyping's very much your thing..

And fuck the parasites who'll try and look clever by insulting genuine people reminding everyone of Carlo's contribution, not just his death. Yes there may be an agenda alongside the rememberance... BUT THATS THE FUCKING POINT YOU IDIOT... remember WHY he was there???

Cheer the fuck up, ye miserable git.
