BIOGRAPHY OF YOUSEF AL-HELOU
Yousef Al-Helou was born in Gaza city in 1979, his grandfather originally from a village called Khofakha in occupied Palestine about 50 km away to the east of Gaza city, was forced to flee his home like the rest of 750,000 Palestinians who ...were driven out by Zionist gangs back in 1948 to make room for Israel to exist on historic Palestine, both his father and mother were born in Gaza city. Yousef finished his secondary school and BA from Gaza in 1999, he then traveled to Britain from 2000-2005 for his higher studies in telecommunication engineering. During his 5-year stay he gained a diploma in media where he worked at local a radio station in England. In late 2005, he returned to Gaza and started working as a Freelance journalist till present; he worked enjoyed working in the field of media and telecommunication. He presented Gaza's first English program at a local radio station, wrote many articles that were published on many global media outlets, and has been working as a TV reporter since June 2007 and produced 100's of TV reports and features for Press TV. In a recent attack on Gaza, Israeli forces murdered children from the Al-Helou family, relatives of Yousef's.
