Hello all, hope everyone had a wonderful xmas ,
We have planned a winter skillshare for the weekend of the 15th January and would like to invite anyone who wishes to join us at the Rossport Solidarity Camp house in Barr na Coille for what will be a fun and informative weekend.
The main focus of the event will be 'Trees' as an important and very much integral part of our historical past and future lives. So we have a speaker who will guide us on a walk along the hedgerows and shorelines, discussing many aspects of the ecology of trees and plants and how they can be used to benefit us in our daily lives.
We hope to be doing some tree planting as a group as well as watching and participating in timber handling workshops and demonstrations.
There will also be some craft workshops to participate in, including soapmaking and needlework of various kinds.
All activities are free to join and lunch will be provided. Any donations will be welcome.
Everything will start at 10a.m each morning and will be of a fairly relaxed nature so feel free to turn up at any time. People of all ages welcome.
For any additional information please contact us by email at rossportsolidaritycam@gmail.com or phone on 0851141170.
If you require any accomodation for the weekend please contact us to let us know.
Hope you have a Happy New Year,
Slán
