Bring tools, play sound !
A lively and open jam session on the streets of Dublin -
free to everyone with or without an instrument.
Bring the community spirit back to our streets,
play some music and have some fun while you're at it !
Meet @ 1pm in Temple Bar Square on Saturday 18th December
This is a new event which will be either bi-weekly or every week.
It is about playing music and not expecting any money in return.
This is playing music for playing music, in its true spirit, and in a very tribal sense.
All instruments and people of all abilities are welcome.
The idea would be to encourage passers-by, and those people so inclined, to join in with the jam. Bring people together with something which all cultures enjoy and which everyone loves : music !
For the first few weeks it will always start in the same place at the same time : Temple Bar Square @ 1pm.
So come down, on your own or with a friend and bring whatever you wish :
drum, saxophone, fiddle, flute, spoons or even a pot or pan !
There will possibly be a bit of a break over the winter holiday period, but don't stop yourself from coming down anyway and keeping the spirit alive. Come January the event will be in full swing on a hopefully weekly basis, but definitely on a two-weekly basis.
