REPUBLICAN NETWORK FOR UNITY (RNU) NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON, DANNY MCBREARTY has called for a national mobilisation of Irish Republicans in support of Tuesday’s 1% Network Rally in Dublin.
Mr. McBrearty said; “The disastrous economic system which has dominated politics on this island for generations has failed the majority of Irish citizens. Therefore, we urge everyone to demonstrate their opposition to corrupt politicians, imperialist bankers and insatiable speculators come Tuesday, 7th December 2010.
We call on all Republicans, Socialists and Democrats to unify against the bail-out budget as it will only enslave future generations of Irish citizens. The political elite care more about global financial markets than senior citizens, students, low-paid workers, the unemployed and our youth. The vast majority of who will continue to suffer from poverty.
RNU ask all those who believe in social and economic freedom to assemble at Wolfe Tone’s Monument in St. Stephen’s Green at 5.30pm on Tuesday. The political elite will concede nothing without radical action and that time has arrived”.
