Hartstown residents block erection of 'flagpole' on petrol station
Residents of Hartstown poured out of the local pub and from their homes facing a petrol station in Hartstown to block erection of what they were told was a flagpole atop a petrol station.
Residents suspect it was a communications mast.
Children absord of to 75 percent of the radiation from these masts into their brains and the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland (RCPI) predict that one in two (50 percent) Irish people will suffer "some form of cancer" by the year 2025.
Following a standoff with construction workers, the mast was driven off on the back of the truck as a securityman watch and Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade circled.
After an afternoon stand-off, residents are jubliant at the outcome. Ruth Copping of Fingal Co. Council (second from right) interruped an afternoon at the seaside with her daughter to support residents.
Sacks of flags? Additional equipment for the installation remained on the truck bed as it drove off.
