Preas Ráiteas ó RNU/RNU Press Release
REPUBLICAN NETWORK for UNITY (RNU) Cathaoirleach/Chairperson, DANNY MCBREARTY, commenting on MI5’s devious role in the publication of the Saville Report said;
“RNU are angered but not surprised that Bloody Sunday Victims and their families are still being deprived of justice. The delay in publicising the Saville Report has damaging implications as it affords British lawyers and MI5 the opportunity to scrutinize and change the content of the report.
Irish citizens require the British Government and her Armed Forces acknowledge that those murdered and injured on Bloody Sunday were indeed innocent. The families need to have some sort of closure to the terrible tragedy that happened on January 31, 1972.
The sinister insistence by British Minister, Shaun Woodward that MI5 be permitted a significant role in the publication of the Bloody Sunday Report, before victims families, yet again demonstrates that the British Secret Service and not the Stormont Assembly direct the Six Counties”.
RNU calls on this report to be released to the families immediately.
