Highlightting the need for Regulated Pregnancy Agencies
Choice Ireland will be holding it’s last demo of the year outside the Rogue crisis pregnancy agency (WRC) at 50 Upper Dorset Street this Saturday at 1pm. We are handing out information leaflets and carrying out a demonstration and have done so throughout the year with the purpose of shutting down the Rogue agency. If you would like to help, come along on Saturday Dec 12th at 1pm, or e-mail choiceireland@gmail.com to get in contact with us.
Due to a legal loophole in advertising for pregnancy counselling anyone can offer counselling to vulnerable pregnant women unsure of their choices. This leaves pregnant women easy prey to false information from shady individuals and their organisations that do not have the professional or ethical qualifications to advise pregnant women.
Choice Ireland is known for highlighting the devious methods of these organisations that have been used by these Rogue agencies and will continue to do so. Choice Ireland believe these dangerous tactics should be made illegal and have had a recent Oireachtas committee meeting to have these Rogue agencies highlighted as a public menace and a threat to women.
The WRC has been running for nearly fifteen years and seems to look like another business on Dorset Street but a lot more sinister events are happening behind these doors during daylight hours. It has had to change alias from 'Aadams' to 'Women's counselling Service' to 'Women's Counselling Network'. The organisation needed all these name changes due to the fact that they have actually been in court for their dangerous methods including an illegal adoption case that was brought to the public attenttion. Nothing from the Government has been done about their scare tactics.
The organisation gives out misleading medical information including such lies that: abortion can cause breast cancer, depression, frigitility, infertility and child abuse. They also state in their sessions that women cannot get pregnant from rape.
The WRC delay the counselling sessions so to delay the woman in having a choice for abortion.
They do not believe that normal contraception works and that the rhythm method is the only effective method of safe sex.
None of these counsellors have any relevant counselling qualifications to inform patients.
Although they state that all information is confidential the WRC have been known to contact the woman's family and local priest to prevent any other choice being allowed and have cancelled UK abortion appointments without the patient's knowledge.
The WRC have the money and power to give out wrong and dangerous information.
Everyone knows someone who has had an abortion. This issue is still being buried in the sand. Help Choice Ireland do the work of the government and make people aware that these practices are going on.
Stop by, join our demo, pick up a leaflet and make sure to spread the word.
