Lithuanian (In)justice
10th October, 1pm ,Lithuanian embassy,90 Merrion Road,Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
RNU Dublin and Kildare would like to extend its sympathies and support to Michael Campbell, an Irishman who is currently being held under grossly inhumane conditions in a Lithuanian prison,
Michael Campbell is being denied any contact with the outside world, be it through phone, mail or visits from friends or family, including his wife, who Michael has not seen since his incarceration
He is being held in a small single cell, with three other prisoners, were allegedly there is only one toilet which can only be described as a hole in the ground,
Michael's trial has being adjourned to October, which means Michael has been interned for for 21 months without trial, which is a blatant contradiction of Lithuania's own laws, which bar internment without trial for internment without trial after 18 months,
RNU Dublin and Kildare wish to applaud the efforts of the Irish Republican Prisoners Welfare Association,32 County Sovereignty Movement and all those who continue to support this man's plight,
On Saturday the 10th of October, 1pm, 90 Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, RNU members will be joining comrades in the IRPWA and 32CSM in protest of the continued internment of Michael Campbell and the horrendous conditions he is being kept in,
RNU Dublin and Kildare call on all republicans, socialists and all those interested in upholding basic human rights to join us on this protest on Saturday,
