Come along to hear 2 experts in their field debate whether or not Ireland can still afford overseas aid. Since the start of this year the Government has cut €195 million from the overseas aid budget. Is it realistic in the current economic climate to aim to spend .7% of our national income on overseas aid by 2012? This issue will be debated by Hans Zomer Director of Dóchas and Alan McQuaid, Chief Economist with Bloxham Stockbrokers. Anne Molloy of Amnesty International will chair this debate.

Date and Time: Wednesday 7th October at 6:15pm, upstairs in Bewleys Café Theatre, Grafton Street

Followed by a social gathering in the Duke Pub, Duke Street at 8pm to debate the issues further and learn more about Comhlámh
