On Thursday 27th August we will be having a "Close Ireland's Fur Farms" protest (instead of Tuesday leafleting sessions), outside the Dept. of Agriculture, as they are responsible for licensing these death camps.
As the first draft of the new Animal Welfare Bill is scheduled to be published in September, which has the potential to ban fur farming, this will be a particularly important event.
We need to show them that the Irish people aren't just asking for a ban, they're demanding it. We also want to let them know that we will not be accepting a lenghty phase-out ban.
Another batch of 2000 signatures have been collected, so we will be handing them in to officials on the day too.
Please do your best to attend the protest, not for us, but for every animal who has ever been murdered on an Irish fur farm.
WHEN: 12.30pm - 2pm, Thurs. 27th August
WHERE: Department of Agriculture, Kildare Street, Dublin 2.
Thank you,
Laura Broxson
