Cheka Kidogo (Swahili for ‘laugh a little’), an exhibition by fashion photographer Rankin will be in Wolfe Tone Park (beside the Jervis Centre) and O’Connell St (opposite the GPO) from 30 April to 31 July. Rankin traveled with Oxfam to a refugee camp in Eastern Congo and the images he took paint a fascinating portrait of life for the survivors of the ongoing conflict in the Congo. In 2008 celebrated photographer Rankin briefly swapped the fashion world for the Congo and teamed up with Oxfam to capture the true personalities of people living in one of the world’s most troubled places.
These portraits form a stunning exhibition comprising of 32 images mounted on 7ft stands and will be coming to Dublin's Wolfe Tone Park (beside the Jervis Centre) and O’Connell St from 01 May for three months.
