An anti budget picket will be placed on the office of Green Party Chairperson, Senator Dan Boyle, on Saturday 18th April between 12 noon and 1pm. The Green Party office in Cork is located at the junction of Douglas St and Ruthland St.

Budget attacks PAYE Workers.

Make the Bankers Pay.

The worst budget in living memory. This is the only verdict that thousands have on the so-called mini budget of April 7th.

The budget has dramatically increased the levies on PAYE workers. These levies are already taken from the gross income, rather than net income, and so cost workers much more.

The total tax hike imposed on PAYE workers amounts to €1.5 billion. But the taxes imposed on the rich amount to a mere €26 million.

These come on top of wage cuts and other levies.

But even while the budget attacks workers, it is giving more help to the bankers. According to Standards and Poors, the international ratings agency, the Irish bank bailout will cost between €15 billion and €20 billion.

Support Saturday's picket and ensure this FF/Green Party government is driven from office as soon as possible.
