We are delighted to invite you to a day of events
for sharing food, ideas, dreams and exchanging ex-
periences among local organic food producers,
community gardens, local groups and consumers.

Food Awareness Day
Date: 19th of April 2009
Venue: Family Resource Centre
Church St, Gort

Programme

1pm Food sharing and reception
2-3pm Presentation of Gort Vibes Co-op members and two Latin American guests speakers of the Latin America Week events on Food Sovereignty.

3-3:45pm Open forum: Views about locally produced food and building links.

15 minutes break

4-5:30pm Film Screening: The real dirt on farmer John. Directed by Taggart Siegel.

5:30 to 6 :30pm Open discussion: Is there a better way?

6.30pm Closing the event with the planting of a fruit tree. (if weather and time allows)
