Amnesty are holding a benefit gig on Saturday the 21st March.

Amnesty Cork gig kicks off at 10.30pm until late.

Planet Claire, Grayson,Bebhinn Hurley and Goldfish Syndrome perform the first multi band gig for Amnesty in the Walter Raleigh hotel Youghal. Followed by DJ Fergal Coleman.

Admission €5 before 12 midnight and €10 afterwards. The gig begins at 10.30pm until late.

The gig is part of Amnesty's celebration of International Women's Day by highlighting the bravery of women human rights defenders in Zimbabwe.

Planet Claire are the up and coming band in Youghal. Grayson comes all the way from Australia and is recording his album '' Somewhere in the Night " at Claycastle Studios in Youghal. Bebhinn Hurley is from Shanagarry and she's a singer /actor. Goldfish Syndrome enter 2009 with a four track EP that has already turned heads in the US and France, while receiving pre release airplay on Irish radio. This exciting local band, has members hailing from Killeagh and Aghada.

Cork hurling legend and All Ireland winner Sean Og O hAilpin will be in attendance at the Amnesty International fundraiser in Youghal, March 21.

O hAilpin, a lifelong Amnesty supporter, follows Angela Walsh, captain of the Cork Ladies Football 2008 All Ireland winning team in togging out for human rights, as the roster of local GAA celebrities coming out as Amnesty supporters grows.
