The numbers signing on across Donegal are extremely worrying with 145 people locally signing on every week over the last year. Fifty people registering as unemployed every day in the month of January 2009. Sinn Féin have an innovative and positive vision for Job Creation and a stronger economy including fast tracking business start-ups and maximizing our existing indigenous enterprises. South Donegal, Mary Coughlan's home constituency, remains the most economically disadvantaged place within the State. With the highest levels of poverty and the highest levels of unemployment.
The protest will start at 3pm at Mary Coughlan’s constituency office (opposite the Donegal Town Hospital). Anyone who wishes to have more information about the event should contact Donegal Sinn Féin via the website.
