Love Music Hate Racism presents Brain Waves, Declan and Burnen live in An Spailpin Fanach, South Mian St, Thursday next 5th March. Doors Open at 8pm. Free entry.
Our music is living testimony to the fact that cultures can and do mix. Music unites us and gives us strength, while racism seeks only to divide and weaken us. Whether its soul, indie, garage, reggae, rock, blues, jazz, house or hip-hop, music brings us together and offers a vibrant celebration of our multicultural and multiracial society.
Love Music Hate Racism aims to generate a positive mass movement to drive racists out of the mainstream and into oblivion.
We try to mix up different types of music, to make sure there are black and white artists together on the stage, and black and white fans in the audience.
At our events artists champion the need to combat racism. Our events are not just music gigs, they inspire people to get actively involved in their workplace, community or college.
Thursday's event will be headlined by Brain Waves, playing rockabilly for the 21st century. Supporting acts are Burnen, a hard hitting singer songwriter and Declan, who plays the blues with a serving of comedy.
So spread the word to ensure Thursday is an overwhelming success.
