It's just a shame that the protests were by secular liberals who are pro-human rights, pro-gay, pro-women, pacifist and socialist democratic who somehow see no irony is supporting Hamas who are religious zealots, anti-democratic, anti-socialist, murderously homophobic, support the oppression of women and use political violence to achieve their aims.

Jim,
Its absolutely ridiculous to suggest we support Hamas. I went out protesting against the slaughter in Gaza.

You also look at the situation in Gaza in such a narrow view. There is a reason Hamas were voted into power. Its because the secular movement achieved nothing, because Israel gave them nothing. I dont support Hamas, but should I just sit back and forget about it.

Its disgusting to think that people like you, living in a liberal democracy such as ours, have such warped views.
