Cracks are emerging in the edifice of the ICTU leadership.Blair Horan of the CPSU which has opposed the levy from the start has said: that the CPSU was seeking to have the pension levy scrapped.

However in todays Irish Times, ICTU General Secretary David Begg said: the first is that our campaign is not for the elimination of the pensions levy but rather for a fairer sharing of the burden of adjustment.

Begg seems to be intent on supporting BIffoin his attack on Public Sector workers. For Begg to write this article on the day of the CPSU Strike is a stab in theback. Begg is not to be trusted. He is so intent on getting back into partnership, he is quite happy to sacrifice the CPSU and all other public sector workers.
