Romper el Cerco [Breaking the Siege] (2006)
Produced by Canal 6 de Julio and Promedios. In May 2006 the people of San Salvador Atenco, a suburb of Mexico City, confronted government forces in their demand for land rights. The police brutally attacked the people in pitched battles that lasted for several days and that were flagrantly misrepresented by the mass media. In Spanish, with English subtitles.
