The event was a huge success empowering members of the community to openly show their solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine at this time.
Jim McLaughlin, NWSN organiser, commented, “the eyes of the world are on Gaza at present and we must ensure that when the Israeli’s stop the present bombardment of Gaza that we don’t turn away. We must use the momentum that has been built up now to maintain the pressure on Israel to end the persecution of the Palestinian people. We must push ahead to assist the Palestinian people gain justice and freedom".
The NWSN have been organising film shows and talks in Donegal and Leitrim over the last two years. The group have organised a public meeting for Monday 19th January in Dorrian’s Hotel in Ballyshannon. Speakers at the event will be outlining what we can do here to support the Palestinian people.
