Prairie Dawgs gig for Focus Ireland in Krugers, Howth Village
Prairie Dawgs play in Krugers, Howth Village on Saturday 22nd November. Free Admission. All donations and proceeds go to Focus Ireland homeless agency.
Dont Miss this Exciting Opportunity to see this acclaimed live 9 piece Bluegrass/Country Band!!!
The Prairie Dawgs began life in the largely unknown expansive Prairies of Dublins North County during the autumn of 2006. Initially a duo, the Dawgs soon expanded and multiplied to become the 9 piece bluegrass flavoured outfit that it is today. Their wonderful line up is based around mostly original harmony based melodies backed up by guitars, (elec & acoustic), mandolin, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, bass & drums.
In these times when getting gigs are like hen's teeth, The Dawgs have enjoyed a high profile on the live circuit and have managed to chalk up no less than 28 gigs this year alone !!!
The Dawgs also run & host the much acclaimed monthly Tumbleweed Love Sessions in The Cobblestone in Smithfield. These sessions have earned a reputation as being the best way to sample the finest roots/country/bluegrass music in Dublin. The finale of the Tumbleweed Love Sessions has thrilled many audiences to date with the Dawgs gathering as many musicians on stage (sometimes up to 15) for a final sing out!
Wonderful support comes from Crooked Fish (local singer songwriter) and The Mountaineers (featuring some core members of the Blood Red Mountain Band).
This event is being held in aid of Focus Ireland and there will be a raffle with some great prizes to be won on the night.
Admission is Free & all donations & proceeds from the raffle will go directly to Focus Ireland homeless agency.
